I just took my 8m old for his very first visit. The hygienist an dentist were both so sweet. My baby was so calm and soaking in all the attention he was getting. The lady at the front desk was very nice too. I’m glad we had such a nice and easy first visit.

UPMC should not be allowed to claim this is a place equipped for children's dental care - No dentist on site - Exams carried out by a dental assistant - No help for acute care (ex. a toothache) even for established patients - one appointment they took a photo of my child's teeth and said they were going to send them to a dentist to look for problems... - after trusting them for a few appointments like this, I found out that my child has multiple cavities and problems that should have been addressed long ago - this office should not be open - do not take your child here thinking you are keeping them up to date on your exams and cleanings, the level of care is the same as you looking at your child's teeth when you brush them at home and saying they look good

I highly recommend finding an alternative dentist office if possible. At the last visit with my two boys, one who just turned 15, I was asked by the Dentist to try and find another dentist because of his age and if I was unable to do that let her know. Today when I went for my younger sons appointment I told this exact same thing to the receptionist who immediately said that they are unable to see him because of his age and offered me to call places that I have already called?. Why would you ask a customer to let you know? Multiple times I requested to speak with someone else and after not being provided that opportunity and growing frustrated the receptionist was quick to let me know in her words "this is my last day and I really don't care". Needless to say we walked out of our scheduled appointment and will never be going back!

Awful... both my husband and I took our son for dental caps .. he is being sedated slightly... they only let one parent back I had ran to the car real quick. I came back in and they had taken him back... I have never not been with my son during a procedure. I asked the assistant to go ask my son if he wanted mom or dad... he loves dad but always wants mon. She returned and said he said he wants dad... very odd. After words they came wheeling out and the first thing he said was ....mom why did you leave. He has been distraught the entire ride home. I said I asked if you wanted me and didn't they ask you. He said no. My husband said they came back and all they said was are you okay with dad... very awful of her and weird at the same time why she didn't want me to be with my son. The assistant was rude and cold something is off with her. I did not like it here. My son is now scared I won't be around for him. I am going to report this woman she should not be allowed to work with children.

We absolutely love this dental office! So much easier getting to and parking than at Children's hospital. Not sure why there are so many bad reviews.. we've never had an issue here at all, I've always either had someone answer or have received a call back within the hour of leaving a voice-mail. The front desk ladies have always been pleasant and the hygentist and dentist are amazing!! They are wonderful with the kiddos! I 100 % would recommend!
